Dr. Sarah Kalani Wharton
CHIROPRACTOR/OWNER
As a child Dr. Sarah Kalani Wharton struggled through allergies, asthma, and severe growing pains. Rather then growing out of those health issues, she grew into them resulting in those symptoms worsening into Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS), torticollis, low back disc herniations, and various other sports injuries.
Her first chiropractic experience was when she was a teenager. She started going to a chiropractor to help her recover from a knee injury from soccer. She was surprised that not only did her knee feel and function better, so did everything!
In a world dominated by pharmaceutical corporations and lifetime sentences of taking pills, one prescription eventually leading to another, chiropractic just made sense. The spine houses and protects the central nervous system and the central nervous system works in coherence with every system and cell of the body. [LIGHT BULB TURNED ON!!!]
Chiropractic is safe, it is natural, and there are no poisoning effects that medication promises.
Dr. Sarah received her undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston in 2008, and her doctorate from Sherman College of Chiropractic in 2019. She has over 200 + hours of Certified Gonstead training and is Pediatric Certified by the Academy Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP) with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Other certifications include Webster Certified with the ICPA, Register Yoga Alliance Teacher (RYA) - 200 from Holy Cow Yoga Center (2021), and Usui Reiki Levels 1 & 2 (2025).
She has been practicing chiropractic in Charleston, SC for the 7 years under the State of South Carolina Board of Chiropractic Examiners. She is also Therapeutic Modalities Qualified with license number 4457.
Because chiropractic isn’t a “one-size-fits-all”, her techniques vary depending on the individual and include spinal, extremity, and cranial assessments and adjustments.
When not happily adjusting people in the office, you can find her running long distance, on the yoga mat, walking her dog Mystickal, hanging with her cat Vixen, listening to live music with her partner Mike, sunning at Folly Beach or simply enjoying the best place to live on earth, Charleston!
